I have to admit, this one took me a while to get thru (I even had to pause and read a required ARC before I could finish this), but finish I did. My heart broke for young Cate and the way her callious mother had always treated her. Worst. Mother. Ever!
I alway had a feeling that 12 yr old Dillion and 10yr old Cate would grow up to be end game. They way they met just spoke to me, subconciously. I'm glad though that they each went in different directions and had relationships with others before getting together.
But that ending is giving me pause. I did not like it. Therefore, it feel just a bit short of perfection, for me. Thus, my rating.
