I adore Kilraven but his backstory - that was ruff for me to read.  His poor daughter. He was so devoted to her, you understood the depth of his grief.  It made me kinda angry at how he glanced over his wife's passing. Given how their relationship started/ended, I get it - but I still felt he didn't show/habor as much grief for her as he did for Melly.

I'm glad he ended up with someone like Winnie.  She's no push-over and she'll definitely keep him on his toes - in a good way.  Definitely never get tired of re-read this story - this is my 4th time since it was originally published and now, I've got to read as much of the series as I own.  I may even buy the rest.
