Review: The Mirror

The Mirror The Mirror by Nora Roberts
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 4.5 Stars!

This book picks up immediately after where The Inheritance ends, and I have to admit, it took me some time to get thru it because I didn't want to miss a clue.  Things are starting to heat up at Lost Bride Manor. The resident mad witch upstairs is not happy that Sonya & Cleo have claimed "her house" for themselves, nor is she happy about the many vistors coming in/out.  The walk-thru time mirror appears more often as well and new painting of the Lost Brides as well. And each time Sonya steps thru the mirror, new revelations are learned about how the curse & mad witch came to reside in the manor.

Now, I had theories about how this all came about - sadly, it looks like they've been shot down, but I still need to know more!  Where are the last two paintings? How can defeat the mad witch and steal back the Seven Bride rings?  What is it about the Pooles that caused this mad witch to become fixated on them? So many questions left open to be answered, but I guess we have to wait for the third book for all to be revealed.

Great characters and world building and the romance (while present in this book) took a backseat really to the mystery that still surrounds Sonya and the Poole family.  I highly recommend this book if you love fantasy mixed with a bit of paranormal and romance.  I can't wait for the EPIC conclusion!
