Review: Craved By You

Final Score - 4 Stars!

The story started off well - we meet Cami, an operative within the security agency and Ryan Hunter is her boss who needs her assistance to bring down a criminal organization. We learn that working within this organization is a piece of Cami's past. We flashback and learned about Cami and her past including how/when she met the love of her life Max. Fast forward to their teen years and #Maxam are living a grifter lifestyle but are on the run - but from whom?  This is the part that I had questions about.

Inbetween the past and present - we learn more about Max, his backstory and his family - but the explanations and reasons for what happen felt rushed to move the story along.  We then circle back to the present and how Cami now has to infilterate this criminal organziation by going thru her ex-love, Max. We also learn that sometime in the past, Max left Cami after saving her, but why? Again, we got quick lined explanations but I would have love a chapter to explain and move the story along.

For me, the material doesn't feel like it should have condensed into a novella - this is clearly meant to be a novel.  There were plenty of twists and turns but overall - I wanted a more indepth story and this latest installment in the Stark Security world has just left me with needing an explanation about Cami's parents (most especially her mother).  A good epilouge to tie it up would have helped as well.  No doubt this is another fast paced & thrilling ride that is always delivered by J Kenner, but for me, the way the story unfolded felt a too rushed and the ending was abrupt.
