My Dark Desire broke my heart. In a good way. And also in a bad way.
That opening scene - gut wrenching. The trauma of it stayed with me as I was reading. It helped me understand a little boys frame of mind and how it shaped the man he became. Poor Zac, my heart felt for him. But my soul was in Fae. She's the star of this book. Absolutely, wholeheartedly.
Two people who couldn't be anymore different than they are. But the perfect match for other.
This book didn't mince the issues these two faced: meddling mom, crazy auntie, parasitic pseudo-family, but each was able to overcome these obstacles. I don't think I'm ready for Ollie's book (or Frankie) but bring it Parker & LJ. I'm ready. *crosses fingers behind back*
