Whoa! Let me repeat ... WHOA!!! I've read mafia stories before, but this takes those previously read books and smokes them all. Siobhan Davis has created the most fierce-some character ever in Catarina ( I just love that she shares my fearsome grandmother's name! ) and totally flipped the script. Ms. Davis has continually re-invented her story telling and this one is no different. I was apprehensive reading this story, at first, but boy I am glad I stuck to my guns and finished it. And let me tell you - there were times I wanted to just stop and DNF this book. I was triggered!
But then I would have missed out. Ms. Davis has created an explosive, high octane, edgy dark romance that will lift you up and empower you. This story will encapsulate you and haunt you. It will leave you on batted breathe for what happens next. It will engage your mind and make your heart flutter. It will also gut you. Be warned - and prepared! Vengeance of a Mafia Queen is much more than a gripping story of vengeance - it's a tale of overcoming hate to find love and healing.
It took me a while to get thru it - as I was pacing myself - but once you get in, you are in! All hail Siobhan Davis, she's done it yet again. May you reign forever my Queen.
