Alaric Prince. The ULTIMATE anti-hero. Rude. Jaded. Criminal. I am in love and in SERIOUS book hangover after this one. Not even my backlog list of books has moved me to pick up another.
Then again, Alaric is a character that burrows into your brain and makes a home, vowing never to leave. This macho man is the boyfriend your parents warn you about. Phoenix is not your damsel is in distress. She's stubborn, intelligent, and willing to stand up to our anti-hero whether by trading barbs or just ignoring him. And those barbs are quite delicious to read.
Packed full of suspense, romance, and some perilous life or death sequences, this book is great read for those who need some excitement! I can only imagine what the audiobook will be like - WOWZA!!!
Ava Harrison has hit it outta the ballpark with this one. The twists and turns - I didn't even see it coming, & I was guessing right along with Alaric & Phoenix - that crazier than cray plot development? Gold. Solid Gold. I hope we get a book from Cristian cause of ALL the character in this book, he left quite an impression on me.
