This is the End, Baby by K. Webster
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Final Score - 5 I Can't Believe It's Over Stars!!!
Cue the violins ... I'm crying buckets here. The saga is OVER. I'm still in disbelief!
This is last installment of the War & Peace Series ... and it was more than a swan song - it was pulse pounding, heavy metal infused mosh pit. I, along with countless others knew the end was coming - but I kept hoping it was a joke or something the author said to throw us off - she's a sneaky, heartless biotch like that (I LOVE her for it & she know it *mwah*). Sadly, it wasn't. The twisted adventures of the McPhearson's are at and end. What a strange trip it's been from book one until now. It's like saying goodbye to most most screwed-up, but endearing, people you've ever met - people I consider family.
See, the thing I have always loved and has endeared me about this series, is that every character -
good or bad - every action and reaction, every darkness seeping thru the pages towards the light has carried over from book to book. And in this final novella, K. Webster has accomplished that & more! The way she writes in such a way that I could get blazing warmth and frightful shivers in the same sentence - that is quite a feat.
Although this novella was short and sweet, it was the perfect blend of crazy, sexy, hot, psychotic goodness - which only an author such as Ms. Webster can provide. I'm still struggling to say good-bye to them with a smile on my face as the knife is twisting in my heart. I’m incredibly sad to see them go.
However, I can't wait to read what she has in store for us next! I read a snipet and I'm literally jumping in my seat with joy as I type this review! You just never know what brand of crazy will be inspired and shine thru in her stories. I for one can't wait!
This isn't the end - really - it's just the beginning <3
