I've had to time to reflect on this book. It's so different from the first, which has me grasping my hair at every turn.
While I enjoyed the book and how it ended, I was left a bit confused - especially since the ending of the first book hinted at a revenge aspect in this one... but it wasn't carried out. I wanted to see the revenge carried out! I was rooting for it. It was all but abandoned, that just didn't sit well with me.
Why have your main character go to all these lengths that she went to, in the name of REVENGE, just to have her abruptly abandon them and no retribution? It was wrapped in a neat and tidy bow - which is so not how I envisioned it.
Don't get me wrong, I was glad ... but felt a bit deceived by it.
