Parker is re-evaluating his MMA fighting career as his last match has left him somewhat off his game. He's rekindled things with Maddie, the mother of his child Lily and things were starting to look up, but outside forces are threatening to tear their reunion apart.
I think I enjoyed this book a bit more than the first, but I also feared the dark undertones of it as well. You have people from Parker's past coming back and a surprise person from Maddie's as well. Left me nervous as to how this would effect them not only as a couple, but as a family.
This is part 2 of a series of 4 books. I can't wait to take the journey to see what happens next for Parker, Maddie, and little Lily, but still very nervous. I may have to put off books 3 & 4 until a later date.
