I hate to admit this, but this book took WAY LONGER for me to get into and for me, that just DOESN'T HAPPEN! And while I'd like to blame it on my illness (currently battling a serious cold), it really had EVERYTHING to do with development of the plot line and story's characters - I just couldn't connect AT ALL with anything about this story. Most confusing of all - The Title. What did the title have anything to do with the book? Ugh!!!
I eventually did manage to get thru it, but for it to then end so abruptly and without a valid ending? I feel like this had the potential to be a great book, but it was given up on. I don't like saying that, but that's how the ending felt. Cut way too short without any resolvement.
I don't know at this point if I will re-read this book at a later point to come up with another opinion (as I said, I'm sick and not running on full cylinders so to speak), but I will. Hopefully, this was just a fluke, but at this point, I'm seriously doubting it (I mean, you can't change a bad ending). At least it was a free book given to me and I didn't waste my money on buying it.
That really would have pissed me off.
